About Jehovah's Witnesses
Of course, like many religions and most every group there are some who do not live up to the ideals espoused by the religion and worse, even a few really wicked persons who are Witnesses.  But as a group Witnesses are comparable to any modest Christian group.

It is my belief that there is much truth and good in the belief or theology of Jehovah's Witnesses, but there is also, some falsehood and even a few harmful beliefs and practices.

It should be noted that Jehovah's Witnesses are often wrongly and inaccurately referred to as a
cult by others.  Some do not consider Jehovah's Witnesses to be Christian.  Both of these views are patently false - but still debated by many.

However, what is undeniable is that the present religion of Jehovah's Witnesses (which entails both
belief and culture) is one that marginalizes itself from the rest of society.  Thus Jehovah's Witnesses continue to be both misunderstood and less attractive as a religion than it could be.
In some cases for the outsider, Jehovah's Witnesses have become a joke, a mere cartoon to be parodied.  Little more is known about Jehovah's Witnesses than their "door-to-door" ministry and perhaps their rejection of blood and birthdays.

For the Jehovah's Witness, potential Jehovah's Witness or ex-Jehovah's Witness, too often because of the religion we have focused on our dissimilarity to the "world" and failed to grasp how similar we actually are.

It is my hope that everyone who visits this website will leave with both a better understanding of the complexity of Jehovah's Witnesses and an enhanced appreciation for the potential that the religion can be in the obtainable future.
Hey it's what this website is all about after all, so I won't go into too much here.  Let me just say that Jehovah's Witnesses are good people.  For the most part, they are sincere, honest-hearted, law-abiding Christians who believe that they are doing the right thing in life and living in accord with their faith and belief and understanding of the Bible.

Jehovah's Witnesses are among the top international religions in membership, are listed among the top "most ubiquitous" religions (i.e. likely to have a congregation near you) and in the U.S., are one of the largest religious groups.
I call this cartoon "Heavenly Turnstile", you can't read it but the number on the turnstile is up to 143,798 or something like that.-EBL
